The Lake of Parity is a scenerio where the adventurers must penetrate a stronghold and rescue a prominant dwarven diplomat. This was a tourney adventure played at both D Con and Origins in 1980. There may be copies with only 12 pages. Cover may be a bit more greenish than as it appears in the image. Otherwise there are 2 distinctive printings shown below. The content is nearly identical but laid out in a more condensed fashion in the second known printing.
"Vimbain, the leader of the Dwarven Confederation, has been kidnapped by the elves and you have been hired to rescue him! Seems fairly standard but this module has more than a few twists! In game terms would you believe that the elves have done this in order to convince the dwarves to ally with them? Or how about this one, your employers are willing within reason of course to provide you anything you want or need during a ten day training period before you set off? This scenario offers a unique challenge to its players where they have all the knowledge, resources and time they need to plan and execute an extremely dangerous mission. But will it be enough to have them succeed?" -- from the Days of Knights auction webpage.
"This item is one of less than one hundred ever distributed!" -- from the Days of Knights auction webpage.
Designed in 1979 to be run at various small tournaments on the East Coast by John M. Corradin, it was published by the Wilmark Dynasty in 1981, for use either with Dungeons and Dragons or with their original game Melanda. Though the production values are not up to today’s standards, the concepts, ideas and opportunities for roleplaying are exceptional!
