The white sheets, especially the (unlisted at present, if genuine JG rather than otherwise photocopied) reference ones.
No white "I" book that I could see, though.
Way OTT on the price (nearly double the TSR file copies ex. Tim Kask), but Shane did the same last time around. *waves over*

Nope. I never got into the Chainmail craze. Paul S. has been collecting them for some time and sharing his research, so why should I get in the way?
Smart move $-wise, IMO, not least given the bump on what used to be a $100-150 item.
Deliberately removing the $350 BIN on the one that eventually went for ~$720 to Paul kinda kept things rolling along after that.

Agreed. Though you'd get little change returned on a SW'd Dunkirk...
I don't think there are many hoards of "new" condition Guidon publications still hanging around out there if the remainder stock of Ironclad (around 20 copies(?) when Don Lowry sold those on) was anything to go by, so the "lesser" items are pretty good value for history in the $30-60 range.

Anyway, Chainmails seem to be more available now than they were just a few years ago. I've made a good friend over the past few months who attends GenCon religiously, so I'll try to get them there. I'm sending a buy sheet with him next year!
*nods* 2nds ain't so scarce, but the various printings might keep things ticking along better in terms of value than they would otherwise. The 1st vs. 2nd differential was looking pretty silly when the 2nds were ticking over at $550-750: somewhat better now, IMHO.
aside: That copy at GenCon this year wasn't exactly "cheap", you recall. (But, yes, many other "better buys" to be had there, too: good luck!).
Had rather expected Kynan to take that...
$20-25 for Cordite and Steel ($32 NM still sitting in stock) and a few other items at $10-15 on the resale market, at a push. Nothing else that I could see and I don't resell. :)

The two Excalibre games are a good snag if they're complete. MTB is uncommon but not valuable, at least it hasn't been. The Wooden Sword is readily available. I can't speak to the rest.
The seller actually had three interesting lots from our point of view:
I was thrilled to get the second one for what I did. There were three good old TSR titles in there. That Modern Armour is a nasty one to get. They just don't come up terribly often.
Brian did well especially if he turns everything but the CR, which I'm guessing is why he was bidding. He should end up getting the CR for free. _________________ "This is cool."

I had Brian bidding on my behalf since it was US only. I was really only after the Catapult Run but am happy with the price since it basically works out to about $10 a book.
It took me a while to find a lizard logo Modern Armor too. The Wizard logo seems much more common.

Ha! The mystery is explained.
Being US-only didn't stop Dave (c'n'b) underbidding on the JG lot. Shane won't mind the extra $100, I'm sure.
Even being somewhat less optimistic on the resale, I don't think the CR will be costing you much over $50-60 - i.e. $15-20 less than my underbids on the last three "common" copies. Inevitably that would be classed as a "good deal". 'grats.
I have seen 3 from the summer that went for sub $50.
k... Think that gives away that I've not been searching methodically for that title.
(Didn't realise they've been *quite* that common, recently; adding in the others around the $70-75 mark over the past couple of years).

(This should be the middle row, scans up now for them were from Tim Kask's which he sold over on Acaeum (about $150+ then because I lost that auction))

(1st printing, I-2 you can see in a picture) (Will sell this if its nothing different.)
Sheesh... Why not just keep the entire package "as originally issued", Shane, even if that means a few sheets you have two copies of?
Deliberately damaging the integrity of one of the *tiny* number of early JG purchases still surviving for the sake of a few dollars - and I'll leave that totally to c'n'b rather than push the bidding - is a darned shame, IMHO. :/
(Any chance of a price *not* to sell?)

Kynan, I've got 3 copies of that printing. They're all in my stash back in PA, but when I get back next summer I'd be happy to trade you for one. _________________ Let mirth prevail!

Thanks Stephen! But I doubt I have anything you're looking for!

Would just as well get paid in bacon, the way the dollar's doing these days.
No sh*t. I just paid for a Canadian auction this morning only to find that the dollar is worth less than a CAN $. I couldn't believe it. I felt like Rip Van Winkle. At least the energy companies are doing well. They're very charitable people always lowering prices around the holidays for folks in need. Memorial Day is the classic example here in the States. People commute by auto to places all over the country, so the oil companies always lower the prices for us because the consumption is greater, and you all remember basic economics, you know, the economics that built this country--the higher the volume, the cheaper the product? The winter on the east coast is going to be nasty this year as in all years to follow. It's wonderful and comforting to have such warm-hearted, caring people at the top who will always look out for the little guy who's freezing his ass off. _________________ "This is cool."
