Spell description:
Range: 0
Components: V, S
Duration: up to 10 days
Casting time: 1 round
Area of effect: one eBay auction per caster level
Saving Throw: Neg.
When this spell is cast, it enchants one or more eBay auctions to make the item for sale look more valuable. Any creature viewing the auction is entitled a saving throw vs. spells, which can be modified by the creatures wisdom. Affected creatures will feel a strong desire to win the auction. They will start to drool, and the victim feels an irresistable itching in the index finger, which grows stronger towards the end of the auction. Depending on the creatures wisdom, the victim will spend up to eight times of the item's original worth.

PS: Guys, sorry for that thread but I couldn't resist. It's absolutely amazing how you are able to sell your stuff! You have created a trademark, like Paul has with his "collector's trove"... Good luck with all your future auctions! _________________ Tome of Treasures - #1 resource for collectible role-playing games.

Thats great, Ralf
Just to let you know we refunded visionsasia's money for the Goodman Games mod. You can buy it at their site for $9.99. Why do people advertise something as a convention exclusive and then make it available to the general public? Oh well, it is still a low print run and will surely rise in value. So buy them up!
Sit back and see what effect "Burntwire's Aura of Preciousness" has this Sunday.

This email is to let you know that your recent order for DCC #20.5 is back
ordered. We received a huge response to this module in the few weeks after
Gen Con that it was on sale online, and we oversold the number we had left
from the con. We're printing a very small additional run to cover the
oversold copies (which include your order). Your copy will ship in
approximately 2 weeks. Sorry for the delay.

Not only are they NOT selling the limited edition item at Gen Con specifically....but they are extending the 'limited edition' to fill the outstanding orders rather than just turning away buyers.
I am not sure these folks are behaving ethically at all. But I am not sure they know they are doing this all wrong.

Wow, now they are printing more!
I just sent Mr. Goodman a long email wondering what he is thinking. I also asked if the re-printed ones will state 2nd print or have the GenCon Exclusive removed. I really look forward to his response. Really bad ethics on Goodmans part.

Isn't it the strangest thing. Of course, they had a huge response because it was supposed to be LIMITED edition. I have a feeling they just don't understand how bad this looks....otherwise they wouldn't be sending out emails describing how they are printing more if they were trying to do it under the table.
I have a feeling they will understand how wrong they are about doing this once pointed out to them.

I just got my Goodman Games item in the mail this weekend. I noticed it does not mention 'limited' edition on the front or interior. Did they remove this in the later reprints?
It does say that it was made exclusively for Gen Con 2005, though.

It doesn't sound like they removed anything. The copies we have state "the module you hold in your hands is a special edition produced exclusively for Gen Con Indy 2005".
Mr. Goodman emailed us and said he would refund our money if we returned them(which we didn't). He actually stated that orders came in so fast that the they were oversold. They originally printed 200 for GenCon and they had to print 12-16 more to fill the orders they had before they pulled them from their site. I think he handled this the best way he could. He really didn't understand that these had collector value until I told him how much the Haunted Lighthouse sells for. With the low print run these look to be a solid investment. Next year we will just have to make sure none are left to sell after the show . Let us know and we can pick up copies for you guys at cost.
