We're trying to put them in order of publication, so if you see the next blank, please chime in. Be sure to image document all of the differences. The level of detail exhibited in the 1st woody entry is what we're interested in. _________________ "This is cool."

Wasnt there some discussion about the direction of the "woodgrain" on these sets? I remember it as "vertical vs horizontal" graining. I can not find it atm. Anyone else remember this or have a link to that discussion?

I remember reading something about it. Also, I think there is some variance as to which side of the box the label appears. _________________ "This is cool."

Mike
"Standard" box for the 2nd print is small front label, vertical grain (~85-90% of those found in "original" state). Think you have a "typical-3rd" box there on that "2nd" given the apparent label size, fwiw.

Hi David,
I was hoping you would chime in on these. I know you have done a massive amount of research on the boxes and books. Let us know some of the other details you have discovered.

Okay. We've decided that best path for the OD&D is separate threads for each print. Please check your posts to make sure they correspond to the right printing.
It is a learning experience, after all. _________________ "This is cool."

Anticipating next weeks work thread, I've added my supplement info. I was wondering if there is a place where we are listing the TSR Chainmail prints? There is a TSR Chainmail research thread but I don't see any items posted there and the webpage is not active anymore.

The Guidon ones can be found there, although Paul's images are gone. If you want to add them, then go ahead. We can rework the entries as the new images come in. Please put only the TSR Chainmail in TSR.
Yes, Greyhawk is next, but you'll have to cut and paste the info you added to the new threads when we create them. We're trying to add these things in the order they were produced. It's an effort on our part to make interpretation easier. Some people don't like to read the data and determine an order for themselves--they want it all laid out, even if it's inaccurate. _________________ "This is cool."

Not really. We did it for the boxed sets because of the download time. I have high speed and still took a little time to view the woodies, for example. There probably won't be a need except for the occasional item, like the Sutherland/Otus basic.
Everything here is a work in progress, and since we're not getting any younger, why waste time perfecting a format that will never work for everything. _________________ "This is cool."

I've added a couple more printings including two prints of Field Regulations. I noticed you picked up another print of Panzer Warfare too. I am continually amazed at how many different prints are being uncovered.
